Project Manager / Business Analyst – SAP S/4

Role Purpose
The PMO / Business Analyst will play a critical role in driving the SAP ECC to S/4
HANA migration program, working across multiple business functions and in close collaboration with the Enterprise Transformation PMO. The role ensures business-process readiness, cross-functional alignment, integration coordination, and structured change and r ollout management for the S/4
HANA transformation powered by SAP.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP S/4
HANA Program Support & Governance
Drive PMO governance for the SAP ECC to S/4
HANA migration program.
Work with the central Transformation PMO, Finance/Accounts and IT Team to align SAP milestones with organizational other transformation timelines.
Track program plans, dependencies, risks, and action items related to SAP migration.
Ensure SAP program artifacts are aligned with enterprise PMO standards.
2. Business Analysis & Process Mapping
Work with business stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Procurement, and Operations to align their inputs to be incorporated by the Implementation partner
Supervise and review current-state (ECC) and future-state (S/4
HANA) business processes in collaboration with the Implementation partner
Through steering committee drive fit-gap analysis, requirement documentation, and process harmonization across departments.
Ensure SAP process design aligns with downstream and upstream integrations
Build the module wise Product backlog and User Scenarios in collaboration with the implementation partner and Business team
3. Cross-Functional & Integration Coordination
Act as a bridge between business users, IT, SAP system integrators, Implementation partner and the Transformation PMO.
Coordinate integration touchpoints between SAP S/4
HANA and CRM, internal platforms, and external systems.
Track integration dependencies and data readiness across programs.
4. Change Management & Rollout Planning
Drive change impact assessment for SAP S/4
HANA across departments and get review, approval from the impacted teams.
Drive rollout planning including phasing, user readiness, and cutover coordination.
Work with HR, IT, and business teams to plan training, communication, and adoption activities.
Track adoption metrics, user readiness, implementation and post-go-live stabilization issues.
5. Testing, Cutover & Go-Live Support
Coordinate business participation in SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
Track defect resolution and business signoffs.
Support cutover planning, mock runs, and go-live readiness checkpoints.
Assist in hyper care governance and transition to steady-state operations.
6. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
Prepare structured status reports, dashboards, and updates for SAP program leadership and Head of Business Transformation PMO.
Highlight risks, dependencies, and decision points impacting business readiness or integrations.
Support steering committee and review forum materials as required.
7. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
Capture learnings, process documentation, and post-implementation insights.
Support creation of reusable templates, SOPs, and playbooks for future SAP rollouts.
Promote standardized, process-driven ways of working post S/4
HANA adoption.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, Commerce, or related discipline.
MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Operations, Systems, or Project Management (preferred).
Preferred Certifications
SAP S/4
HANA (Functional or Overview certification) – preferred.
Business Analysis certifications (CBAP / CCBA) – added advantage.
PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certifications – desirable.
Tools & Technology Exposure
Mandatory: SAP ECC exposure, SAP S/4
HANA migration experience
Preferred: SAP Activate methodology, Solution Manager, JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
Familiarity with CRM, O2C, or Supply Chain systems is a plus.
Experience Requirements
8+ years of experience in Business Analysis and ERP transformation roles along with PMO responsibilities
Hands-on experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4
HANA migration programs.
Experience working across multiple business functions and system integrators.
Strong exposure to change management and rollout planning in enterprise programs.
