ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a hands-on Performance Marketing Lead who can personally execute paid marketing while also driving applied strategy.
This is not an agency-management role. This is a builder role — execution-first, numbers-driven, and deeply accountable. The role requires equal ownership of strategy and execution (50–50), with direct responsibility for outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Execution
- Personally plan, launch, optimise, scale, and pause campaigns across:
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
- Google (Search, You Tube, Display where relevant)
- Own daily account performance: CPL, CAC, ROAS, lead quality
- Drive continuous creative testing (hooks, formats, audiences)
- Troubleshoot performance volatility proactively
- Collaborate on funnel optimisation with website & CRM teams
Performance Strategy & Growth Planning
- Define monthly and quarterly paid growth strategy
- Allocate budgets intelligently across platforms and funnels
- Build structured creative testing frameworks
- Partner with the Creative team to shape high-performing narratives
- Work closely with CRM & digital teams to improve lead quality
- Build performance dashboards and attribution understanding
- Decide where not to spend money
Strategy is expected to translate into experiments quickly, not presentations.
Team & Capability Building
- Build Aliens’ in-house performance marketing capability
- Hire, train, and mentor performance executives as scale increases
- Create SOPs, playbooks, and documentation
- Reduce long-term dependency on agencies and external vendors
- Any agency support is expected to be execution-only, not strategic
What This Role Is NOT
- ❌ Agency management or coordination role
- ❌ Vendor-driven performance role
- ❌ Strategy-only leadership role
- ❌ Reporting-only position
This role owns execution and outcomes.
IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
Experience
- 5–7 years of hands-on performance marketing experience
- Personally managed ₹20L–₹80L per month in ad spend
- Strong experience with Meta & Google Ads
- Experience running full-funnel campaigns (not just lead generation)
Skills & Mindset
- Highly analytical and outcome-oriented
- Comfortable inside Ads Manager and spreadsheets
- Strong experimentation mindset
- Takes ownership of numbers
- Thinks like a builder, not a coordinator
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
