- Operational Leadership:
Provide overall leadership and direction to the hospital staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability. Promote continuous improvement and implement best practices to enhance patient care delivery.
- Quality and Patient Safety:
Prioritize patient safety and ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services. Oversee the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to patient safety protocols.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with the board of directors, medical staff, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to build positive relationships and promote the hospital's interests. Represent the hospital at public forums and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on healthcare laws, regulations, and industry trends. Ensure the hospital's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining appropriate licensure and accreditation.
- Physician and Staff Relations:
Foster a positive work environment, promote physician and staff engagement, and support professional development opportunities. Collaborate with medical staff leaders to ensure effective physician integration and alignment with the hospital's goals.
• Technology and
Innovation: Foster the adoption of technology and innovation to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and outcomes. Stay informed about advancements in healthcare technology and explore opportunities for strategic investments.
- Financial Management:
Manage the hospital's financial resources effectively, including budgeting, revenue generation, cost control, and financial forecasting. Ensure the hospital operates within approved budgets and achieves financial targets.
- Competencies Required
• Domain expertise: (weightage - 40%) It is the understanding and insight about the industry, business processes, customer expectations & the commercial acumen needed to run the business process with greater profitability; it is the orientation to understand the technology involved and the future possibilities; ability to solve problems, plan for the details, organize resources, anticipate challenges and direct teams to take proactive measures.
Analytical bent (weightage – 30%) It is the ability to understand the processes involved, define and measure KPIs, observe trends and patterns, connect the dots to think of opportunities to improve, keep track of various developments taking place in the domain of work, orient the teams to follow systems, assess suitability of the systems and processes from time to time and carry out appropriate course-corrections to improve Quality and Cost effectiveness.
• People Management (weightage – 30%) It is the ability to use personal skills to guide and inspire individuals/groups towards achieving goals, delegate effectively to others, generate energy and enthusiasm in others, inspires others to believe that they can achieve worthwhile goals, as a source of strength in times of uncertainty, leads without aggression or arrogance, shows trust in the abilities of others, takes a lead in uncertain situations.
