Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments
- Check visual acuity, refraction, and eye coordination
- Detect and manage refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia)
- Screen for eye diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataract, and amblyopia
- Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and vision therapy where required
- Assist ophthalmologists in pre- and post-operative patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests (IOP, fundus photography, OCT, visual fields, etc.)
- Educate patients on eye health, hygiene, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinical protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in optometry or equivalent qualifications.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or eye care setting is a plus.
