About the Role
We are looking for a Post Production Lead to own end-to-end post production for our app's content ecosystem—including premium creator-led formats, branded content, and marketing creatives.
This role will be responsible for ensuring content is delivered with high speed, high quality, and high consistency, optimized for retention, shareability, and platform-native consumption.
You will lead the post-production pipeline across editing, sound, graphics, color, finishing, and delivery, while managing editors (in-house/freelance), workflows, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1) End-to-End Post Production Ownership
Own the post-production process from raw footage to final delivery across formats:
short-form vertical videos
episodic series / content
branded content deliverables
promos, trailers, and social cutdowns
Ensure fast turnaround without compromising creative quality.
2) Editing Quality, Retention & Packaging
Maintain strong editing standards focused on:
high retention and pacing
strong hooks in first 1–2 seconds
clean storytelling and clarity
high shareability and rewatch value
Ensure platform-native packaging including:
captions/subtitles
on-screen text
cover frames/thumbnails
cutdowns in multiple durations (15s/30s/45s/60s)
3) Team Leadership & Resource Management
Lead and manage a team of editors, motion designers, and freelancers.
Allocate work based on priorities, timelines, and skill fit.
Build a scalable roster of freelance editors for peak workload.
Train and mentor team members on speed, quality, and storytelling.
4) Workflow, SOPs & Process Excellence
Build post-production SOPs including:
file naming and folder structure
edit version control
review/feedback cycles
export settings and deliverable formats
backup and archiving process
Ensure smooth handoffs between production → post → publishing.
5) Quality Control & Final Delivery
Own QC before content is published:
audio clarity and levels
color consistency
spelling/grammar in text overlays
brand guidelines adherence
no glitches, frame issues, missing frames
Ensure deliverables meet platform specs and deadlines.
6) Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
Creative Producer / Content team (creative direction)
Marketing team (high-performing edits for distribution)
Community team (viral moments and shareable cutdowns)
Content Ops (publishing and library hygiene)
Align on priorities and ensure delivery readiness for launches and campaigns.
7) Performance-Led Iteration
Use performance data to improve editing patterns:
drop-off points
completion rates
share/save behavior
Build best practices around what works and replicate across formats.
Run experiments on hooks, pacing, captions, and packaging styles.
Other Tasks:
Create an internal 'Editing Bible' for:
hooks, pacing, transitions, caption styles
brand-safe sound and music rules
export presets and templates
Build an asset library of:
sound effects, music beds, memes (safe-to-use)
motion packs and text templates
Set up a clean system for review approvals and final delivery sign-off
Ensure post-production scalability as content volume increases
Skills & Qualifications
5–10 years experience in video editing, post production, or digital content finishing
Strong command over tools like:
Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro
After Effects (preferred)
DaVinci Resolve
Strong understanding of:
short-form storytelling and retention editing
audio and color basics
motion graphics workflow
Proven experience managing editors/freelancers and timelines
