Financial Controller

Ventós is an international company specialized in the distribution and production of Essential Oils and Aroma Chemicals for the Flavors & Fragrances industry. With headquarters in Barcelona, Spain, and 9 subsidiaries worldwide, Ventós continues to grow globally, combining industrial excellence with a strong customer-oriented approach.

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our India subsidiary and support our financial operations in line with Indian Accounting Standards, while collaborating with our international finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and company policies.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile accounts regularly, including bank reconciliations and supplier/customer accounts.
- Process domestic and international payments efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with external accounting and tax advisors to review tax declarations, filings, and ensure alignment with internal records.
- Review and cross-check accounting program outputs (Business Central / Navision preferred) with external advisors’ reports.
- Support month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities.
- Provide accurate financial reporting to management and support internal and external audits.
- Assist with foreign exchange transactions, international supplier/customer payments, and related accounting entries.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or ICWA (Cost Accountant) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in Indian accounting standards, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Strong experience with payments, reconciliations, and working with external accounting advisors.
- Previous experience in an international business environment, preferably with export product operations.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Hands on experience with accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Navision.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-border interactions.
