We are seeking an experienced and strategic School Leadership Coach to join our Public School Partnerships (PSP) team in the Eastern Cape. This is a full-time, senior role for a seasoned education professional ready to drive meaningful, systemic improvement across a growing network of rural schools.
Location: Zithulele Village (Mqanduli), with travel to Amajingqi, Willowvale
Salary: R34,000 – R38,000 per month (inclusive of benefits) | Staff accommodation provided
Reports to: Head of Schools

About the RoleThe PSP School Leadership Coach holds a central position in Axium's school improvement model. Working directly with School Management Teams and principals across 13+ partner schools, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing School Improvement Plans (SIPs)
- Conducting School Walks and embedding evidence-based improvement practices
- Facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
- Coaching principals to strengthen instructional leadership
- Managing the Principal Mentor consultant, Senior Wellness Officer and related team members
- Building and maintaining relationships with circuit managers and community stakeholders
Note:
The successful candidate will commence with a fully paid internship at Apex High School in Cape Town — a nationally recognised leader in instructional coaching and school culture development — before relocating to the Eastern Cape in 2027.
This role demands a professional who can balance high-level strategic thinking with hands‑on implementation — someone who leads with data, builds trust with diverse stakeholders, and holds themselves and others accountable for results.
Key Requirements- NQF Level 8 qualification in Education or Education Management
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a comparable role (principal, deputy principal, departmental head, or coach)
- Demonstrated ability to use data to inform coaching decisions
- Valid, unendorsed driver's licence and willingness to travel
