This is a temporary, long-term substitute position working full time from February through April with our Middle School students. On-Call Substitute Teachers at Brighton School play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of instruction when regular teachers are unavailable. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about education and who enjoy working with diverse student groups across various grade levels.
On-call substitutes must be adaptable and ready to step into different classrooms, ensuring that students continue to receive a high-quality education.
- Implement lesson plans and curriculum provided by the regular teacher.
- Maintain classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.
- Provide instructional support across various subjects and grade levels as needed.
- Collaborate with other school staff to support student learning and uphold school policies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- A positive, energetic, and patient demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments quickly.
