Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in the Java or Kotlin programming language.
- 1 year of experience with networking protocols.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience working mobile application development, networking (Wi‑Fi), security software development (VPN).
- Passion for learning new technologies and solving user-facing problems.
Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale and extend well beyond web search. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as our fast-paced business grows and evolves.
Google Fi Wireless is Google’s wireless service initiative that connects people to the carrier Wi‑Fi networks and enables positive communication experiences. The team is responsible for building the solution to help make wireless data access a reality, leveraging AI to solve complex real-world problems that help Fi customers stay reliably connected.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for both Android apps and operating systems.
- Develop power and performance optimized solutions for Android phones.
- Debug and fix user-reported issues.
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits
