Job Overview
Come join us as a Manager 3 on the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role responsible for leading our core strategy to accelerate execution excellence across the Tech Ecosystem. Your mission is to drive a 5‑10x increase in velocity by transforming our development lifecycle into a truly product‑centric ecosystem.
We are seeking a seasoned, visionary engineering leader who will:
- Define and execute the technical strategy for the PDLC transformation, shifting the mindset from a software lifecycle to a product‑centric approach.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team of engineers, establishing a world‑class culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Drive measurable outcomes by shipping scalable, resilient solutions for road mapping, goal management and execution that accelerate delivery for our customers.
This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic business acumen, and an unwavering commitment to talent development focused on customer impact.
Technical and Business Leadership- Drive Innovation & Growth:
Own the end‑to‑end development and deployment of new, high‑impact capabilities that directly fuel execution velocity, alignment, and predictable delivery. - Strategic Execution:
Define the long‑term technical roadmap for the team, balancing immediate business needs with long‑term platform health and the operationalization of a rolling 6‑Quarter roadmap. - Cross‑Functional Alignment:
Act as a key technical partner to leadership and 'mission team' quads (VP leaders, architects, and product leads) to translate business goals into a robust engineering strategy. - Operational Excellence:
Champion engineering best practices to ensure our Prioritization and Execution Tool and Planning, road mapping and dependency management tool chain are robust, reliable, and secure.
- Build an Elite Team:
Aggressively recruit, hire, and onboard top‑tier engineering talent to rapidly scale the team’s capabilities in building world‑class planning systems. - Cultivate Expertise:
Mentor and coach engineers to advance their technical skills in distributed systems and AI‑native automation, fostering a culture of continuous learning. - Performance Management:
Establish clear performance goals, conduct regular 1:1s, and provide timely, actionable feedback to ensure high individual and team impact. - Foster Innovation:
Create an environment where the team is empowered to experiment with emerging technologies, such as AI‑assisted guidance for scenario planning, to drive technical debt reduction.
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience. - Leadership Tenure: 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, with 4+ years in a management role leading high‑performance engineering teams.
- Transformation Success:
Demonstrated success leading high‑stakes projects from research to production scale, specifically in a high‑growth environment focused on lifecycle or platform transformation. - Cloud Architecture:
Experience with cloud‑native architectures and developing resilient, scalable services (e.g., using AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms).
