Full stack Kotlin Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Backend-focused Full stack Kotlin Developer to join a small, high-performing engineering team building an AI-powered writing tool used by internal writers to create consumer-facing Help Center content and internal knowledge base articles. This role is a leave coverage position supporting an existing production system that is rapidly evolving based on real-time user feedback. The engineer will focus primarily on feature development, collaborating closely with senior engineers who handle system design and architecture.

This role emphasizes execution, code quality, and the ability to ramp up quickly in an established engineering environment. Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance backend features for an AI-driven content creation platform. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient production-quality code. Collaborate with senior engineers, product partners, and writers to rapidly iterate on features. Contribute to occasional frontend tasks as needed to support feature delivery. Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering best practices. Quickly ramp up on internal tools, infrastructure, and workflows.

Experience:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong backend development experience. Strong experience with 3+ years of Kotlin for backend development. Solid understanding of backend coding, APIs, and feature implementation. Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks without requiring system design ownership.
