Assistant Project Manager
We are looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team at STO Building Group (BCCI). This role offers hands‑on experience managing small‑ to mid‑sized construction projects while collaborating with a Project Manager on larger, more complex builds.

Mentor and Develop Your TeamYou will support Project Engineers and interns, sharing your expertise and helping them grow their skills, building a strong, adaptable team ready to tackle challenges.
Build Industry ConnectionsCollaborate with clients, architects, brokers, property managers, and subcontractors to forge lasting professional relationships that strengthen both your projects and your career.
PurposeProvide construction management support for single and/or multiple projects to ensure quality control, profitability, and client satisfaction. Understand the client’s vision, manage the delivery process, and meet or exceed forecasted profit goals while training and mentoring peers and support staff.
Representative Tasks and Responsibilities- Set up, maintain, distribute, and ensure timely document return for all project documents to ensure procedural and contractual compliance.
- Manage subcontractor performance and resolve performance issues under the Project Manager’s direction.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute required project documentation for construction meetings and communications.
- Review project drawings and subcontractor scope, prepare potential change order and change order requests for approval.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure a timely project closeout.
- Monitor the project schedule, update it, and communicate changes as needed.
- Assume the lead role on projects as assigned, exercising full project management responsibilities.
- Coaching, mentoring, and training of Project Engineers and new Assistant Project Managers.
- Contribute to the company’s culture, mission, and values through thought leadership.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
- College degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field; a certificate in Construction Management is required if no college degree.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of construction documentation and pricing.
- Proficiency with company software (Procore, CMiC), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Experience
- 2‑4 years of experience in the construction industry.
Note: We place a strong emphasis on relevant and transferable skills, including volunteer roles and unpaid experience. Candidates demonstrating ability through work history are encouraged to apply even if traditional degree requirements are not met.
Salary- $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience.
The employee works primarily in an office environment with minimal to moderate noise; occasional work may occur in active medical care facilities requiring additional health and safety measures.
