About the roleThe Sr. Manager, Business Operations will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of critical business operations across the organization. This role spans the full lifecycle of operations – from procurement and vendor management to deployment, scaling, and long‑term optimization. The position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution, ensuring operational readiness, efficiency, and scalability in a fast‑paced environment.
This leader will partner with cross‑functional teams including engineering, product, finance, compliance, and external vendors to drive accountability, improve processes, and enable sustainable growth. The role emphasizes data‑driven decision‑making, effective resource allocation, and building repeatable frameworks that maximize ROI and deliver successful business outcomes.
This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office!
What you'll do- Own the end‑to‑end business operations lifecycle, from procurement and integration through deployment readiness, scaling, and ongoing support – with a direct focus on enabling in‑fleet operations.
- Lead cross‑functional planning and execution to ensure seamless transitions of vehicles and equipment through each stage of the operational lifecycle.
- Optimize fleet resource allocation and reassignment decisions by analyzing utilization, downtime, costs, and deployment timelines.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, ROI modeling, and cost management across fleet procurement, maintenance, and redeployment.
- Negotiate with vendors and manage external partners to ensure vehicles, equipment, and services meet operational, cost, and quality requirements.
- Establish scalable procurement processes, vendor performance frameworks, and analytics to support multi‑site fleet expansion.
- Oversee operational health programs and fleet readiness playbooks to maximize uptime, minimize disruptions, and ensure continuity of service.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and safety teams to integrate fleet performance insights into planning, design, and long‑term strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, maintenance, and fleet reliability, using data insights to increase efficiency and scale operations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, fleet management, or program management (automotive, AV, logistics, or related industries).
- Strong vendor negotiation and contract management experience.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Python, Tableau/Power BI, or equivalent).
- Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance speed, cost, and quality in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments.
Salary Ranges – $160,000–$220,000
