Overview
Better Help is on a mission to remove the traditional barriers to therapy and make mental health care more accessible to everyone. Founded in 2013, we are now the world’s largest online therapy service, providing affordable and convenient therapy across the globe. Our network of over 30,000 licensed therapists has helped millions of people take ownership of their mental health and change their lives forever.
As the unmet need for mental health services continues to grow, Better Help is committed to being part of the solution. As a mental health company, we take employee mental health just as seriously as our mission and invest in our team’s well-being and professional development.
As a Product Designer at Better Help, you will own and drive end-to-end design for critical features across the Therapist domain. You will work autonomously on complex problems, lead research and usability efforts, and partner closely with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and researchers to shape high-impact product experiences. This role is ideal for a designer ready to lead feature-level design work, drive UX improvements proactively, and operate with a high degree of ownership.
Whatwill you do?
- Design end-to-end experiences, from discovery to user flows, wireframes, and production-quality UI in Figma.
- Proactively identify UI/UX inconsistencies and experience gaps and propose scalable solutions.
- Write detailed design specifications and partner closely with engineering throughout implementation and QA.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, and Research to define problems, explore solutions, and align on outcomes.
- Use quantitative metrics (experiments, analytics) and qualitative insight to evaluate shipped designs and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to design quality across the org, participating in critiques, design reviews, and pattern evolution.
- Influence strategy by synthesizing insights and highlighting opportunities for UX improvements and product innovation.
- You will NOT worry about a0"runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we are fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
- You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
- You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
- You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.
