OverviewWe are looking for an experienced AI Science Manager 3 to join Intuit’s Virtual Expert Platform. You will lead and grow a highly talented team of AI scientists and ML engineers dedicated to shaping the future of Intuit’s products and expert tools. You will provide technical and strategic leadership, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure your team’s research and engineering efforts translate into breakthrough AI‑powered experiences at scale.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and strategic leadership across multiple teams through a deep understanding of the technology space.
- Lead global AI Science and ML Engineering teams delivering transformative new experiences for Intuit’s customers.
- Build end‑to‑end AI systems that deliver net new AI capabilities or transformative customer experiences and deploy / integrate these systems in Intuit’s products and AI platforms.
- Shape and align team priorities with Intuit’s AI roadmap, ensuring delivery of impactful research and scalable solutions.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top AI talent, fostering career growth and building high‑performing teams.
- Collaborate closely with business and platform stakeholders and guide them to build and deploy AI‑first solutions.
- MS / Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics with focus on Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.
- 8+ years of experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, with 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Proven ability to design, build, and deploy large‑scale end‑to‑end AI Systems that are deployed stand‑alone or integrated within Intuit’s products or AI platforms.
- Experience building, managing, and scaling high‑performing AI teams (including AI Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Software Engineers) while delivering measurable impact.
- Strategic leadership skills with a track record of defining priorities, driving execution, and aligning AI initiatives with business goals.
- Proficiency in AI frameworks, platforms, and tools with a strong understanding of engineering best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence executives, inspire teams, and partner across functions.
- Strong Computer Science / Data Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, data analysis, model training, A/B testing, and MLOps practices.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $264,000 – $357,500.
