Modem Test Engineer

HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Modem Test Engineer to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Mountain View, CA and onsite.

8+ years of hands on testing experience in 5G/4G/3G Cellular modem chipset or device (UE) Protocol conformance, performance, and interoperability.

Strong understanding of 3

GPP and Carrier specifications for LTE and .

Experience with Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) integration and testing is highly desirable.

Execute test plans targeting 5G  LTE Layer 2/Layer 3 protocol features (RLC, PDCP, MAC, RRC, NAS).

Expertise in 3

GPP/IMS Protocol call flows to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues in UE/network protocol interactions.

Ability to isolate complex issues across multiple protocol layers and identify root causes using trace analysis tools

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead and drive testing activities.

Hands-on experience with test equipment’s for GCF, PTCRB, Carrier certification (e.g., Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz).

Pay Range Minimum: $97000/Annum

Pay Range Maximum: $147,000/Annum

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
