Mountain View, California – reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

• Design, analyze, build, test, and fly a system of actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications to enable remote‑piloted aircraft.
• Collaborate with top mechanical engineers and cross‑functional teams (Electrical, Systems, Software, GNC, Manufacturing, and Flight Test).
• Own hardware from concept through flight test and certification – cradle‑to‑grave engineering with hands‑on build, test, and integration.
• Bring a sense of humility and be ready to both learn and teach.

• BS in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent engineering.
• 2+ years of professional experience developing mechanical systems.
• Experience with current CAD and FEM packages.
• Experience in innovative system designs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Expertise in electromechanical or mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to drive designs to closure.
• Experience taking designs through FAA certification.
• Design for manufacturability and volume production.
• Previous experience with aircraft or other safety‑critical mechanical systems.
• Flight and/or ground test familiarity or experience.

Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

The estimated salary range for this position is $118,000 to $170,000 per year, plus cash and stock option awards and benefits.
