Mentor Tutor Connection (MTC) seeks dynamic, relationship-driven Mentor Program Managers (MPM) to cultivate meaningful one-to-one mentoring relationships that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of high-school students. Based primarily on campus at Los Altos or Mountain View High School during the school year (15–20 hours per week), MPMs serve as the connector, coach, and champion behind 35–50 mentor-mentee matches annually.
This role blends program management, community engagement, and student support. MPMs recruit and screen students and volunteer mentors, partner closely with school staff to identify students who will benefit most, and thoughtfully match mentors and mentees to ensure strong, lasting relationships.
Beyond placements, MPMs strengthen program quality and impact by tracking outcomes, maintaining accurate databases, conducting surveys, and sharing stories that elevate MTC’s mission.
The ideal candidates are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a flexible, part-time environment. They bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to motivate and engage people from diverse backgrounds. Experience in education, counseling, or social services is valued, along with proficiency in Google Suite and database management. A bachelor’s degree is required;
Spanish language skills are a plus.
