A family in Mountain View is seeking a flexible, proactive Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks to support two busy working parents. Their son is super active and energetic, inquisitive, playful and loves to be outside. Responsibilities include school pick-up and driving to activities, preparing child’s meals, family laundry, running errands, light tidying and organization. They’d love to find someone who is proactive in planning fun activities for their son, who is a self-starter and takes initiative to keep the household running smoothly.
It’s important to find someone with flexibility to come in earlier and work a full day (8a-5:30p or possibly until 7p) when their son is home from school, such as during school closures, breaks etc. The family usually knows the school schedule well in advance.
Ultimately the best person for them is seeking at least a year commitment, is organized, savvy, and engaging!
Experience Requirements- 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish or German (nice to have, not required)
- COVID-vaccinated + booster
- CPR Certified
- TB and Tdap vaccine
- Valid driver; must have clean driving record and reliable car for school pickup and errands (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Flexibility in schedule needed for school closures/breaks
