Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring open heart recovery skills and a valid AR or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 17-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) caring for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics

• Patient population includes those recovering from coronary artery bypass grafting, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, heart valve surgeries, and other vascular interventions

• Unit utilizes advanced equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), induced hypothermia devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and the Impella Heart Pump

• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 to 19:00

• Provide specialized care for post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular intervention patients

• Team values professionalism, integrity, and respect within a collaborative environment

• Position designated as safety sensitive under Arkansas law

• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted

Requirements

• Active Arkansas or compact RN license in good standing

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; ADN required, BSN preferred

• Minimum of 3 years recent RN experience required

• Open heart recovery experience required

• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience preferred

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first six months of employment

• Ability to communicate effectively and basic computer proficiency required
