Dispatch

Overview

Dispatcher — Position is responsible for daily load coordination; monitoring trailer locations; monitoring drivers; customers daily needs; troubleshoot issues with drivers and coordinate planned and emergency repairs as needed; troubleshoot customer site issues with drivers and make appropriate notifications if repairs are needed. Dispatcher role assures that our customers receive scheduled deliveries in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: reviewing and processing data, monitoring off-site equipment, providing first-line response to emergencies.

Using various technologies to make informed decisions and provide appropriate data to customers, drivers, etc. Monitoring and ensuring driver safety and compliance with safety guidelines.

A high school diploma or GED is required. A demonstrated knowledge of the trucking industry and its components. Three years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom and Teams. Knowledge of Samsara preferred.
• A track record of punctuality, reliability, and dependability.
• Ability to keep track of and process large amounts of data to make logical decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, carry out tasks and learn new programs and methods for completing the assigned work.
• Ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Good attendance record required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work for an extend time at a computer, performing administrative type functions in a professional office setting.
