Mill Elementary Classroom Teacher

Position: Old Mill Elementary Classroom Teacher 2026-2027
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join our team for the  school year. The ideal candidate will foster a student-centered, engaging, and standards-aligned learning environment that empowers all students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and implement high-quality instruction aligned to Kentucky Academic Standards and best teaching practices.

* Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that aligns with Old Mill Elementary's CREATE values.

* Use data-driven instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

* Implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) strategies and integrate real-world learning experiences.

* Engage students in meaningful learning experiences through hands-on activities, technology integration, and collaboration.

* Establish strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student growth.

* Utilize the MTSS framework to address academic and behavioral needs.

* Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to reflect on data, improve instructional practices, and collaborate with peers.

* Maintain strong classroom management by setting clear expectations, reinforcing positive behaviors, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

* Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administration to support student learning.

* Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development opportunities.

Candidate must have Kentucky Elementary Certification and possess all other requirements according to BCPS.

This position is for the  school year.

Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the  school year.
