Overview
At College Way Animal Hospital, we offer primary care services for dogs and cats in Skagit, Whatcom, and Snohomish counties. As a Client Service Representative, you will play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will range from facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Responsibilities- Greet clients and their pets to strengthen client relationships; assist with new client registrations and communicate expected wait times.
- Educate clients and answer non-medical inquiries; maintain client relationships and service standards by managing phone calls, messages, emails, and faxes.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate in-office diagnostics, and communicate with referring hospital staff to access patient records; create appointment reminders and reschedule as needed.
- Maintain accurate computer records for client and patient data and verify patients entering the hospital.
- Keep the front desk, reception areas, waiting areas, and exam rooms neat and clean.
- Ensure financial responsibilities are met, review charges for services, and reconcile cash drawer with computer-generated reporting.
- Mentor and support fellow team members as needed.
- Customer service experience; 1+ years in veterinary medicine are highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills; team-oriented with the ability to collaborate and support others.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work 4–10 hour shifts.
- Desire to practice empathetic, gold-standard medicine benefiting patients and clients.
- Positive, kind, and trustworthy communication with patients, team members, and clients.
- Desire to continually grow and advance as a valued team member.
