JANUS Research Group is currently seeking a Soldier Team SSO for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.

The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.

Position

Description:

Manages Soldier situational awareness and sensor programs, including night vision devices, weapon sights, and integrated visual systems. Provides analytical and technical support for capability development, modernization planning, and resource integration. Develops information papers, briefings, and SPAR/POM inputs addressing cost, risk, and operational impact. Coordinates with ASA(ALT), T2

COM, and ARSTAF to align Soldier sensor capabilities with Army modernization priorities.

Relevant Competencies / Skill Levels:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development duties
• Demonstrates expert analytical and technical skills in Soldier lethality, situational awareness, and night vision (SA/NV) systems. Proficient in assessing capability performance, integration, and lifecycle sustainment to support modernization and fielding decisions. Possesses advanced analytical and communication abilities to deliver clear, data-driven insights enhancing Soldier effectiveness and survivability.
