Requisition SummaryThe PACCAR Technical Center in Mount Vernon, WA is looking for an intern in the Vehicle Integration Validation group. The successful candidate will make technical contributions to the in-vehicle testing of upcoming powertrain products and vehicle software while gaining hands-on experience in the hardware and software validation process. This candidate will serve as a member of the Controls Validation team focused on engine, transmission, driver interfaces, and connectivity testing of functional requirements.
The Summer Internship Program provides the opportunity to contribute to PACCAR’s truck and technology development efforts while gaining valuable engineering skills and experience. The Program also organizes professional, social events with interns working in various groups at the Technical Center and other engineering facilities.

Division InformationThe PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Job Functions / Responsibilities- Support Powertrain Controls Validation activities
- Conduct associated testing in‑vehicle
- Use service and engineering tools to manipulate vehicle properties and collect data
- Develop validation test plans
- Analyze real world vehicle test data and report results
- Junior or Senior in good standing towards an Engineering, Science, or equivalent degree.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
Undergraduate Students: $25.00/hour
Graduate Students: $30.00/hour
