Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Description

Key Responsibilities

+ Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets

+ Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports

+ Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

+ Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes

+ Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors

+ Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting activities

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant federal, state, and local regulations

+ Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and systems

+ Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership

+ Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team

+ Support strategic projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and financial planning initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

+ 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements

+ Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

+ Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities

+ High level of integrity and attention to detail
