Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of all hospital facilities, equipment, and systems. This entry-level position works under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all hospital systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical equipment, are functioning efficiently and safely. The role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
EducationMust have High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade School preferred. EPA Universal certification preferred.
ExperienceTwo years of experience in commercial or industrial maintenance. Desirables include at least one year experience in the electrical field and HVAC. Must be able to function effectively under stress and in emergency situations. Must be able to maintain and work with security when on duty.
Skills- Strong technical knowledge in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and working in a hospital environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems effectively.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Hourly range $20.00-$33.00
BonusPotential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
