Job Description: We are seeking an organized and efficient Assistant Manager to join our team at our 805 Salem Rd location in Mount Vernon. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the store's daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and helping to lead and develop our team members.

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring smooth functioning of all departments
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
  • Support in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise
  • Help train, supervise, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Assist in creating and implementing strategies to meet sales goals and improve store performance
  • Handle cash management duties, including register operations and bank deposits
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
  • Step in for the Store Manager in their absence, making key decisions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiences
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point‑of‑sale systems
  • Previous retail or customer service experience required
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices is a plus
