Pharmacy Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacist in Charge to lead daily retail pharmacy operations in Mt Vernon, Illinois.

Well-established, family‑owned community pharmacy with a long‑standing reputation for providing exceptional patient care and personalized service.

• Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide excellent patient care, including prescription verification, counseling, and medication therapy management.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team.
• Manage and optimize workflow using Pioneer Rx pharmacy software.
• Oversee compliance packaging operations using Dispill to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate and oversee weekday deliveries to patients and facilities, ensuring safe and efficient service.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and inventory.
• Develop and and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Build strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and the local community.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance standards are consistently met.

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
  
  D) degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Proven experience in a leadership or management capacity preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx pharmacy management software is a plus.
• Experience with compliance packaging (Dispill) is preferred.
