Heartland Women s Healthcare of Advantia provides obstetrics and gynecology services through 39 practices and 17 locations in southern Illinois and Missouri. We partner with Advantia Health to deliver patient-centered care and offer a patient support center with extended hours and a nurse to discuss concerns. We value compassion and excellence in care.

We are looking for an OBGYN Physician at our Mt. Vernon, Illinois location who is comfortable providing the full range of obstetric and gynecological services, including routine well-woman care, labor and delivery, and hospital-based surgeries to a medically diverse patient population. Visa and sponsorship opportunities are available.

• Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal care up to delivery and postnatal care, sometimes in collaboration with a midwife.
• Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition.
• Counsel patients on safe sex practices and preventative medicine.
• Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc., to diagnose problems.
• Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff (nurses, physician assistants, med techs, etc.) on procedures and protocol.
• Maintain a high-quality standard of care in gynecologic and obstetric services with a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ensure adequate patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic with a mix of scheduled and same-day appointments.
• Collaborate effectively with other providers and members of the care team.
• Provide culturally competent care to a socioeconomically, ethnically, and linguistically diverse patient population.
• Pursue ongoing professional development by reading medical journals and attending conferences.

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
• Valid medical license to practice and board-certified in the state.
• 2+ years of clinical practice preferred, in hospital or private practice, but not required.
• Proficiency in patient charting and experience with relevant charting software.

• Salary range: $269,000 – $360,000 per year
