Dev Ops Engineer - HPC Automation & Infrastructure as Code (Annapolis Junction, MD)

- 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 2 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree
- The Dev Ops Engineer shall be responsible for developing and maintaining complex and diverse Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- This position’s focus is on automation and efficiency to reduce manual effort and increase the reliability of software builds and deployments.
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
- Proficient using Bash/Python to develop scripts to automate provisioning of HPC systems
- Experience with release management best practices including versioning, automation, risk management, and continuous improvement
- Experience managing software builds and releases with one or more programming languages
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and best practices
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI - Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
- Experience with Dev/Sec/Ops processes and related FOSS tool chains
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Containerd
- Experience with Git Source Control System
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and collaboration
Salary: $205,000 - $215,000 annually.
