Position Overview

Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Specialist at Allied Universal in Mount Prospect, IL. Protect patients and staff in a healthcare environment.

Full Time | $20.17 / Hour.

Mon – Sun | 02:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Sat | 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and following site‑specific policies, including emergency response.
• Respond to incidents calmly, maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, reporting unusual activity.
• Assist with access control; verify identification and credentials for restricted areas.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities promptly.
• Support medical staff and personnel during emergencies and drills.

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 + for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen required to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state or local laws; driver’s license required for driving positions only.
