Key

Accountabilities
  • Develop new business in the market and strengthen existing customer relationships; close business transactions and achieve sales goals.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling, direct mail, email, and networking.
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge to enable effective presentations.
  • Sell consultatively and recommend SEKO solutions to clients’ business issues.
  • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses identifying prospects’ problems and SEKO solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities within the assigned territory using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Adopt a positive, proactive attitude and take ownership of actions, development, and results in the field.
  • Define optimal target accounts and use positioning strategies to leverage SEKO’s value propositions.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and ethics; ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Comply with SEKO’s C-TPAT Security Profile and uphold SEKO’s Core Values: respect, customer focus, integrity, teamwork, and work hard, play hard.
  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and comply with safety instructions and legislative obligations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Self-motivated with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education & Experience
  • High School Degree or GED.
  • 3 years’ transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding sales experience with proven prospecting and closing abilities.
  • Experience selling a diverse suite of domestic and international products including Export/Import Air Freight, Ocean Freight, FTL, LTL, and Fulfillment.
  • Valid driver’s license and own or lease a presentable, fully maintained and insured vehicle for business use.
Preferred
  • Sales/Industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information are provided in accordance with state/local pay transparency requirements. Base salaries may vary by location, competencies, education/certifications, qualifications/experience, performance, and revenue potential (Producer roles).

The base salary for this role is $70,000 - $100,100 USD per year. This role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
