Job Brief:
We are seeking a skilled Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT team. The Level 3 Data Center Technician's responsibilities include maintaining the data center's IT system, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring uninterrupted access to network services. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure and data center operations. Familiarity with server installations and network updates is also required.
The candidate should also have GPU experience and 4 plus years in a hyperscale environment.
- Perform tasks listed under Level 1 and Level 2 as needed.
- Move servers and switches to required destinations for installation.
- Inspect servers and switches to ensure they are not damaged.
- Install servers and switches and cable them according to provided wire maps.
- Ensure all cables are bundled neatly and in accordance with standards.
- Double-check with network admins to ensure everything is cabled correctly and all connections are up.
- Install additional components needed (NIC, Drive, Memory).
- Assist in unboxing and prepping servers as needed.
- Audit servers and consumables.
- Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate the problem that the server is encountering.
- Order replacement parts and install them in servers and ship back the defective part to their respective vendors.

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds when necessary.
- Ability to safely climb ladders when necessary.
- Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity.
- 4 plus years of experience in a hyperscale environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- CompTIA properties equivalent experience.
- CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience.
- CCENT or equivalent experience.
- Windows OS experience.
- CCNA certification preferred.
- MCP/MSCE certification preferred.
- Scripting experience preferred - Power Shell, Python, Bash.

This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI. This is a fully onsite position in Mount Pleasant, WI.
