Position: Paramedic - Full Time (12 hour shift)
Location: Mount Pleasant, TX
Position SummaryThe Paramedic responds to emergency and non‑emergency requests for ambulance service and provides safe, advanced intermediate and basic life support care and transportation following local, state, and Titus Regional Medical Center standards.
Essential Functions- Performs daily and monthly equipment and unit checks following established guidelines.
- Performs daily and weekly station duties following established guidelines.
- Ensures unit and equipment are clean and in proper working order.
- Following department protocols, appropriately assesses, treats, and transports ill and injured patients to appropriate receiving facilities.
- Documents all aspects of EMS responses including dispatch, response, arrival, treatment, and transport.
- Collects and documents patient demographics including billing information and obtains appropriate signatures.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Reports mechanical concerns to field supervisor and, if appropriate, to other EMS staff, documenting findings.
- Operates and drives EMS vehicles safely and efficiently, following company driving guidelines.
- Follows established patient experience guidelines.
- Attends all mandatory meetings as scheduled.
- Assists with new employee training and EMS student training as directed.
- Safely uses equipment to move patients from scene location, to ambulance, and into receiving facilities, including lifting, moving on uneven surfaces, and handling inclement weather.
- Operates communications devices, including phones and two‑way radios.
- Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
- Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains compliance with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.

Required:
Vocational - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current Texas Paramedic certification
- Current Texas driver’s license
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- ICS 100 within 90 days of hire date
- ICS 200 within 90 days of hire date
- ICS 700 within 90 days of hire date
- ICS 800 within 90 days of hire date
Six months of EMS experience preferred.

Bend/Stoop/Twist 1–33%, Crouch/Squat 1–33%, Kneel/Crawl 1–33%, Reach Above/Below Shoulder 1–33%. Walking:
Uneven 1–33%, Even 34–66%. Environment:
Indoors 67–100%, Outdoors 1–33%. Noise: 1–33%.
Depth perception required. Visual acuity < 20. Color vision not required. Peripheral vision required.
