Titus Regional Medical Center is looking for a skilled nocturnist to join our growing hospitalist program. Titus Regional Medical Center is a 174‑bed Joint Commission accredited acute care facility located in Mount Pleasant, Texas. It is a Level III Trauma Center. The Nocturnist schedule allows for a balance between personal and professional life.
Mount Pleasant Texas offers a relaxed, country lifestyle, with 3 lakes and 2 state parks within 20 miles. It is only 90 minutes from Dallas Texas. It has great schools with outstanding extracurricular opportunities.
Position SummaryThe Nocturnist is responsible for providing inpatient care during overnight shifts, including managing admissions, handling emergencies, and overseeing patient progress. Key duties include performing initial assessments, making clinical decisions, coordinating with medical and nursing staff, and ensuring smooth transitions between night and day teams. The Nocturnist will manage a wide range of medical conditions, respond to acute situations, and document patient interactions in the electronic health record.
The role requires effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes during overnight hours.
- Oversees and manages the care of hospitalized patients during the overnight shift
- Responds promptly to changes in patient conditions and provides comprehensive assessments and treatment.
- SDU and ICU admissions with Ventilator Management
- Med/Surge admissions with night calls
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Ability to work a continuous schedule 7 on and 7 off

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety.
- Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
- Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
of experience in the medical field preferred.
Education- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
