Position SummaryAs an Assistant Store Manager
, you will assist the Store Manager in creating an environment that provides the best shopping experience for soccer players, coaches, referees, and enthusiasts. Your responsibilities will include achieving financial objectives, managing payroll, and ensuring store metrics meet targets, while leading a team that feels valued and retained.
- Assure achievement of financial objectives, including sales, payroll, and metrics.
- Implement and execute company plans and strategies.
- Create an in‑store shopping experience that exceeds customer expectations.
- Support consistent operations and merchandising initiatives to create a unique experience.
- Develop and retain high‑caliber talent with a customer‑first priority.
- Ensure compliance with safety, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Strategic Leadership:
Partner with the Store Manager to achieve priorities and align store personnel. - Operational Excellence:
Execute strategic initiatives and manage processes to address operational inefficiencies. - Communication &
Collaboration:
Maintain strong relationships, share feedback, and align action steps. - Team Leadership & Development:
Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing feedback. - Other Responsibilities:
Serve as a thought partner, champion store culture, and promote teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
- 1+ years of management experience.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to build strong relationships within the store team.
- Demonstrated strong leadership qualities and communication skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop people.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and retail procedure knowledge.
- Ability to influence at multiple levels and drive behavior change.
- Work in a clean, pleasant retail setting.
- Required to talk or hear regularly.
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, tools, and controls.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision and focus adjustment.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
