Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Location: East Cooper Mullis

At East Cooper Mullis Family Practice, we are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to our community. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and efficient environment for every patient who walks through our doors.

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our patients. This vital role supports our front office operations by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth patient flow within our family clinic. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a medical office setting.

• Warmly greet and assist patients as they arrive at the clinic.
• Manage incoming calls professionally, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
• Accurately check in patients, collect and verify demographic and insurance information, and input data into our electronic medical record system.
• Facilitate patient check-out processes, including processing referrals and scheduling follow-up visits.
• Collect co-payments and post charges with accuracy and integrity.
• Handle charge entry and patient balance processing efficiently.
• Provide patients with clear information about office policies, procedures, and general practice details.
• Educate and assist patients with enrolling and using the patient portal.
• Perform other front office duties as required to support clinic operations.

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Office Assistant program is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, ideally within a healthcare or medical office environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software is a plus.
