Overview
Novant Health Southeastern Spine Institute is looking for a Clinical Care Partner. This position functions similarly to a Medical Assistant in coordinating the clinical and administrative tasks required to keep the clinic running smoothly.
Location:
1625 Hospital Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
Status:
Full Time, 40 hours/week
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

- Preliminary Clinical and Patient Care: Perform and document preliminary exams (vitals, height, weight), interview patients for history/needs, and assist clinicians with examinations, treatments, tests, and procedures within the scope of practice.
- Clinical Support and Safety: Monitor patient conditions, notify the care team of changes or abnormal data (vitals, blood glucose), ensure exam rooms are clean per protocol, and restock routine supplies.
- Clerical, Administrative, and Billing: Assist with patient registration, scheduling, check-out, greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, collecting co-payments, and coding nursing visits/procedures for billing.
- Teamwork and Professional
Competency:
Actively participate in team-based care, maintain open and professional communication with co-workers, and ensure continual competence through annual clinical reviews, skills check-offs, and mandatory education.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Experience:
- Two years Acute experience for CNA 1, preferred.
- One year CNA2 or EMT, preferred.
- One year experience in healthcare setting or Physician Assistant or medical school student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- NA I in good standing within the NA registry; OR required
- NA II in good standing with NA II certification with required state; OR required
- EMT current credential in appropriate state; OR Required
- One year clinical (medical) office experience; OR required
- Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in accredited program or in gap year, required
- Additional Skills (required):
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
