The Floor Staff position at Palmetto Grande in Mount Pleasant, SC. Team members are classified based on theatre needs and employee availability. Duties may include working in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members represent Regal in line with the company mission and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office- Operate POS system, accurately handling cash, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and rebate tickets.
- Upsell/suggestive sell for Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to phone calls and guest questions consistently with our guest service philosophy.
- Operate POS system, accurately handling cash, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and coupons; manage concession inventory.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operate, prepare and clean all concession equipment.
- Upsell and provide suggestive selling.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
- Adhere to state and federal break and meal period regulations.
- Maintain current alcohol certification and training where required.
- Serve alcohol in compliance with legal age and licensing laws when applicable.
- Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
- Tear tickets, collect stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when necessary.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in locating seats.
- Enforce MPAA rating system.
- Conduct inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, detect theft, and maintain a safe environment.
- Report problems or discrepancies to management.
- Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
- Clean auditoriums after shows; keep restrooms, lobby, hallways clean.
- Monitor vending equipment operation and cleanliness.
- Assist with all opening and closing duties assigned by management.
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must meet the following:
Education/ExperienceCompletion of cast certification program as a cast member or progress toward completion. If the theatre serves alcohol, the candidate must complete required state or local training and obtain a certificate, including Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Language AbilityGood public speaking, able to listen effectively and respond clearly.
Math AbilityPerform calculations quickly and accurately; identify and correct errors.
Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather relevant data, consider alternatives, and reach conclusions based on evidence. Perform under pressure.
Personal SkillsExcellent communication with customers, coworkers, and management. Set priorities and manage time to achieve objectives.
Physical DemandsFrequently required: stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle items. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift up to 60 pounds. Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustments.
