Overview

Assignment Desk, a video production company based in Charleston is looking to hire a new Production Coordinator to join our team.

We’re growing and need another great person who wants to grow with us. In this position you will help with all aspects of booking video shoots with major sports networks, news networks, corporate and entertainment clients throughout the country.

Did you watch the Super Bowl or NBA All Star Game this year? What about HGTV’s hit House Hunters? Yeah – those are the types of cool shoots our crews get to be a part of and we get to help coordinate them. We are lucky enough to get to do this andworkin Charleston, SC at the same time.

Biggest thing we are looking for in a coordinator is attitude. If you have a hard working, detail oriented, team player attitude, we want you. We can train you to learn the rest. To start, we need someone willing to show up at the same time every day, working 9 am to 6 pm but we’re always available to our clients and crews.

We want someone who understands the premise of working hard and playing hard while getting the chance to make some really cool TV.

This is a logistics and operations position in need of a personality that clients want toworkwith.
This is NOT a creative gig
, you won’t be editing, you won’t be on the ground for these shoots and you’ll be a part of a on call rotation. When working in TV things happen after hours, so being available and taking care of our cameraman and clients are #1.

Responsibilities
  • 100% in person in our Mount Pleasant, SC office.
  • This position is similar to a News Assignment Desk in a News Station
  • There’s an ON CALL component to this position
  • Individuals will be required to schedule camera crews, field production personnel and equipment locally, regionally and nationally under heavy time pressure.
  • Booking and researching crew positions, including making phone calls to crew, negotiating rates and confirming shoot requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with crew members, clients, and production staff.
  • Following-up with crew on invoices and accurately entering invoices into invoicing software.
  • Maintain database of crew and client information.
  • Assist in marketing the company through various social media, giveaways, mailers, and promotions.
Skills and knowledge
  • Must be hardworking and be able toworkgreat with a team
  • Proven ability to organize, manage multiple tasks, and adhere to strict schedules.
  • Knowledge of video production, freelance and/or broadcast news a plus
  • Must be detail oriented and resourceful
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative when needed
  • Able to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in a constantly changingworkenvironment
  • Marketing or sales experience and prior TV/film/video production experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Internet, Google Mail, Google Calendar, MS Office and Quick Books necessary
