This is a key service position in a fast paced environment. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service through positive interaction. You are expected to make decisions that provide successful outcomes and satisfy customers. Being accurate and punctual is a must. Each transaction must be handled in a way that positively spreads our organization’s reputation. Although the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel is an enterprise of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, it operates under the Migizi Economic Development Company Policies and Procedures.

• Exhibits, coaches, and models behaviors that are aligned with Migizi Guest Service standards and philosophies.
• Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.
• Maintains awareness of all promotional offers and advertisements, and available discounts on the products promoted by the store.
• Performs floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and housekeeping.
• Performs in replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
• Is actively involved in customer retention and helping to build a loyal customer base.
• Assists customers in locating merchandise and hands on customer interaction.
• Applies pricing to goods based on established pricing sheets.
• Enters products in Yellow Dog Inventory.
• Makes certain invoices are entered day of arrival.
• Participates in monthly/quarterly inventory and counts.
• Operates register and MICROS/Opera machine.
• Verifies goods to invoices when merchandise is delivered.
• Must be able to maintain stock.
• Assists with weekly ordering.
• Assists as a point of direction to Retail Staff in the absence of Retail Supervisor.
• Assists with training new employees in the gift shop and warehouse.
• All other tasks assigned by management.

Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer operation. Frequent prolonged standing and walking throughout the Waterpark & Hotel. Could exert in physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 lbs. Push/pull cart or equipment up to 100 lbs. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels.

18 years of age.

• 6 Months experience working in Retail with inventory management responsibilities.
• Successfully pass TIPS Alcohol Management within the first thirty (30) days of employment as a condition of continued employment.
• Pass a pre-assessment math test with an eighty (80) percent or higher.
• Pre-employment background check.
