Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide emergency medicine coverage on a PRN basis at McLaren Central EM in Mt Pleasant, MI. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrate autonomy in clinical decision-making, and possess a proactive approach to patient care. Required Skills
- Valid NP or PA license in Michigan
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Proven experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- Ability to work independently with physician oversight
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Previous experience working in Level 4 trauma centers
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR systems
- Additional certifications such as TNCC or ENPC
- Bilingual proficiency
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine or urgent care experience
- Proven competence working independently in emergency settings
- Credentialing process approximately 90 days
- Current immunizations including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, flu, COVID-19, and TB within the last 12 months
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts from 11 AM to 9 PM
- Willingness to clock in/out via Doc Time (reverse billing system)
- No relocation or lodging arrangements provided; providers are responsible for their own arrangements within policy limits
