Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine physician seeking a rewarding temporary opportunity? We invite experienced, board-certified physicians to provide critical care at a busy emergency department committed to excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, supervising midlevel providers, and responding to hospital codes and emergency situations. You will collaborate with a dedicated team that includes full-time physicians, midlevels, hospital staff, and specialty consultants. The department handles approximately 54 patients daily within an 18-bed ED, with the majority of hospital admissions originating from the ED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert emergency medical care in accordance with established protocols.
- Supervise midlevel providers during shifts.
- Respond to hospital codes and emergencies, including airway support.
- Coordinate with hospitalists for admissions and transfers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies.
- Board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid medical license for Michigan.
- Proven experience in emergency department settings.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Cerner preferred).
Skills:
- Experience with trauma level IV protocols.
- Prior work in a fast-paced emergency department.
- Familiarity with hospital transfer protocols.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Minimum of 2 years emergency department experience post-residency.
- Current ACLS and ATLS certifications.
- Endorsement on all certifications, licenses, and credentials.
- Availability to start from March 1, 2026, through ongoing coverage into 2026.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including 8a-8p and 8p-8a, seven days a week.
- Willingness to undergo credentialing process, estimated at approximately 90 days.
