Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult & Pediatric
Setting: Hospital Emergency Department
Responsibilities: Provide emergency medical care; evaluate, diagnose, and treat ED patients; supervise midlevel providers as required; participate in emergency response and airway support during codes
Required Procedures: Emergency Medicine procedures including airway management, central and arterial lines, suturing, fracture care, I&Ds, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, EKG interpretation, ventilation management, and other ED-related procedures
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: 1 full-time midlevel, 2 PRN midlevels, 4 full-time physicians, 1 PRN physician; hospitalist support; anesthesia backup during daytime hours
Days Per Month: PRN / Float Pool
On-Call/Weekends: No on-call; weekend coverage included
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice with 2+ years ER experience Required
Active Michigan Medical License (IMLC not accepted) Required
ATLS and PALS for non-EM boarded physicians Required
