Cable Technician

Overview

MUST:

• Experienced Cable Technician
• 2+ years of experience
• Must have experience terminating cables
• CAT5e/6 experience
• Experience identifying, installing, and repairing infrastructure cabling
• Experience in low voltage cabling
• Ability to work in small spaces
• Ability to lift 40+ Lbs
• Must have basic tools, and reliable transportation
• Experience in conduit installation is a plus

• Provide excellent customer service always.
• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
• Pull, route, and terminate various types of cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
• Perform site surveys to determine the best installation route and method.
• Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 in accordance with industry standards.
• Ensuring all cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled.
• Installation of cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
• Installation IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless, etc...
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
• Troubleshoot device and or cabling issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations.
