Are you a mechanically inclined problem-solver who takes pride in "owning" your equipment? At Avery Dennison, we don't just manufacture products; we design solutions that connect the physical and digital worlds. We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Finishing Department—someone who is curious about how things work and is driven to deliver high-quality results.
Your Role at Avery Dennison:
As a Technical Pilot of our finishing assets, you will be responsible for the heartbeat of our production line. You won't just run a machine; you will master it.
- Lead Performance: Perform precise machine setups and changeovers to meet production goals.
- Troubleshoot with Curiosity: Identify root causes of malfunctions rather than applying "band-aid" fixes.
- Commitment to Quality: Inspect products against strict specifications to ensure a "zero-defect" output.
- Safety & Teamwork: Maintain a safe environment and collaborate with your team to improve site health and efficiency.
- Inventory Flow: Use forklifts and digital tools (MFG Pro) to manage material movement and data entry.
What You Bring:
- Experience: High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort with mechanical troubleshooting and computer applications.
- Resilience: Ability to maintain focus during high-pressure shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
- Team Spirit: A "Team Before Self" mindset—ready to support coworkers and share knowledge.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
