What You’ll Actually Do
  • Master Insurance Verification:
    Meticulously verify coverage BEFORE services are provided, prevent claim denials, and maximize revenue capture.
  • Excel at Financial Counseling:
    Confidently explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients in a way they understand.
  • Solve Billing Problems:
    Proactively identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue.
  • Drive Patient Satisfaction:
    Deliver exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations – keeping patients happy while handling payment matters.
  • Be the Face of AFC:
    Greet patients with warmth and professionalism that makes AFC stand out in healthcare.
  • Own the Front Desk Flow:
    Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check‑ins with lightning efficiency.
  • Protect Patient Information:
    Maintain organized records while strictly following HIPAA regulations.

  • You have experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non‑negotiable).
  • You can explain complex insurance concepts to frustrated patients with empathy and clarity.
  • You’re obsessively detail‑oriented – a single digit error in an insurance  cost thousands.
  • You’ve worked as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in any Customer Service role in a medical office setting.
  • You’re tech‑savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems.
  • You have excellent problem‑solving skills and can find billing solutions that work for both patients and the clinic.
  • You maintain a positive attitude even when dealing with challenging financial conversations.

    Our state‑of‑the‑art urgent care facility
  • Schedule:

    Part‑time with flexible shifts (some evenings/weekends)
  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma preferred; X‑Ray Tech, Medical Assistant or related certification is a plus
    • Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for this role.
Compensation
