This role is part of Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program, a nationally recognized apprenticeship designed to prepare candidates for PTCB certification.
Base pay range$17.00/hr - $20.]?.
Responsibilities- Assist wegge pharmacists under direct supervision in pharmacy operations, including running pharmacy systems and processing prescriptions.
- Operateسجيل pharmacy cash registers, record all cashier sales, handle cash, and provide assistance in the OTC aisle.
- Review and fill prescriptions, verify medicine, check for interactions, and ensure accuracy of all printed labels.
- Report prescription errors to the pharmacist and adhere to company policies regarding errors and quality improvement.
- Assist with third‑party claim processing and other clerical duties as assigned.
- Support inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Assist in administering clinical services such as collecting and labeling blood and urine samples.
- Maintain a clean, organized, well‑stocked pharmacy environment and handle telephone calls when required.
- Follow Walgreens policy on Good Faith seluruh dispensing and maintain compliance with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Greet customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolve Oak issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share best customer‑service practices with team members.
- Build strong relationships with valuable customers.
- Assist pharmacists with scheduling and workflow.
- Process manual claims and support healthcare clinics and external providers as needed.
- Assist pharmacy manager and staff in community outreach and maintain relationships with local medical practitioners.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Earn and maintain PTCB certification by completing the training program or state‑required certification.
- Attend manager‑requested training and acquire continuing education credits.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of healthcare pharmacy developments.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Exception in Puerto Rico.)
- Wually to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience in a retail environment (preferably six months).
- Prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Good math and computer skills; knowledge of store inventory control.
- PTCB certification.
