** Job Summary
** Operations Technician provides advanced, in-depth technical support for complex issues escalated from Tier 1 Service Desk. Key responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing common workstation issues, hardware/software bugs, administering Active Directory user accounts and permissions, and resolving user issues via remote tools or deskside support in a Windows environment.

* What you’ll do:

*** Complex Troubleshooting resolving issues that Tier 1 cannot fix, including OS failures, application bugs, and complex network connectivity issues (VPN, DNS).
* Managing user accounts in Active Directory including account creation and termination, password resets, permissions and security groups.
* Hardware/Software Support troubleshooting, installing, configuring, and repairing desktop operating systems, printers, and software applications.
* Remediation of workstation vulnerabilities with third party applications and Windows operating systems.
* Ticketing & Documentation of all technical troubleshooting steps and resolutions thoroughly in Service Now ticketing system and maintaining knowledge base.
* Escalation Point serving as the second line of support, escalating to Tier 3 (engineers) or other SME’s as necessary.
* Strong technical Knowledge and understanding of Windows
11, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP), Active Directory, and remote support tools.
* Strong customer communication, analytical thinking, and a customer-service oriented mindset
* Be a team player who can work well within the team and collaborate cross-functionally.
* Provide cross-training to others when required or as needed.
* Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures or designs new solutions
* Obtains assistance with, or escalates, complex problems to more senior IT System Administrators for resolution.
* Implement enhancements, updates, software installation and system configuration to ensure equipment is functioning properly for AEP users.

* Education:

*** Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

* Experience:

*** In addition to any experience required above, 8 years' technical or relevant work experience is required.
